APM Introductory Certificate

The APM Introductory Certificate offers an insight into this exciting and challenging discipline and has been developed by the APM and The Department for Education and Skills.  It has been designed for anyone looking to start a successful career in Project Management or those wanting or needing to understand the principles of Project Management excellence.

No prior knowledge or experience in Project Management is required for this certificate. 

Assessment will be through a 60 question multiple choice examination taken over 1 hour.

Format

During the syndicate activities delegates will produce various documents required to plan, monitor and control any project.  They will have ample opportunity to discuss their findings, their understanding of the processes and their approach to Project Management.  Individual exercises will also be used to consolidate subjects taught. Sample multiple choice questions will be used to consolidate the learning and provide the opportunity to practice examination technique. There will be some homework on the first evening of the workshop.

Successful candidates will be able to understand the language of Project Management and the structure of a successful project. They will be able to take an active part in a project team and make a positive contribution to any project environment.
