APMP Examination Preparation Workshop

Background

The APMP examination is the first stage in the route to becoming an APM Certified Project Manager, and will eventually become a pre-requisite for full membership of the APM.

This qualification is rapidly becoming a widely recognised assurance that the holder is a knowledgeable practitioner of Project Management and that he/she has formally demonstrated this professional knowledge by examination.

The APMP is increasingly being mandated by major companies and organisations as a required qualification for those wishing to progress through their Project Management Career structures.  This course is based entirely on the APM Body of Knowledge (APMBoK), which defines those topics in which professional project managers should be knowledgeable and competent.

It is designed for delegates who have worked in a project environment and who wish to attain the APMP qualification.

Programme structure

The course consists of three elements:

  • Approximately four weeks prior to the workshop, delegates will be sent pre-course reading (handbook, APMBoK and APMP syllabus)
  • A four day workshop
  • A one day preparation session (day1), plus the APMP examination (day2)
