The Executive Project Management Programme
This programme seeks to provide Executive Project Managers & Engineering Project Managers with the tool-kit they need to effect successful project out-turn; with specific focus on the processes which should assist them in this objective. Through a combination of tutored input and syndicate case study work, delegates will refresh or gain a comprehensive insight into the disciplines and techniques of understanding the requirements for effective project management and leading project management teams.
This programme is designed for experienced Project Managers and Engineering Project Managers. They may have received some training in the core disciplines of Project Management previously and have been engaged in delivering projects. The course will have a maximum delegate size of 16 thereby encouraging communication opportunities with the 5 different tutors engaged in its delivery.
Programme Objectives
- To understand what constitutes Effective project management
- To understand the requirements in developing project management capability
- To understand the concepts of LCM and Phase Reviews from the Assessor/Chairperson perspective
- To gain an insight into company finance, financial reporting, the impact of project management decisions on company performance and to understand the financial CSR from an FD’s perspective
- To gain an awareness of contractual and commercial issues
- To understand the importance of requirements capture
- To learn techniques for communicating successfully
- To understand the principles and requirements of effective reviews and the behaviours involved
- To allow learning, experience and best practice to be shared across the business
